Birds of all manner flew onto our zoom screens this afternoon. What a wonderful array of our feathered friends!!! From cute and cuddly to imposing and majestic.... 'birds ' was a theme the SAG members really warmed to .

A real celebration of Spring this week with images of spring flowers, catkins, and spring views. We had a wonderful array of reflections this week. Scenes that conjured warm memories, as well as some clever interpretations of 'refelections' using mirrors. Phoebe, one of our young artists produced this lovely work.
"Picasso would have gone mad with this, so would Van Gogh" When asked about painting on a digital device ( phone or tablet) David Hockney, one of the greatest of living artists commented that "the masters of the past would have loved it". Hockney himself pioneered the creation of art work using his iPhone and iPad.
Today's challenge was a joint theme, where we had contributions of 'memories', 'Wales', and 'Memories of Wales'! Many of the pictures shown recalled enjoyable and sometimes dramatic memories of times spent in favourite places in Wales. Discussion included places , people and bits of history.
This week's challenge was to produce work related to fish. There were an amazing array of interpretations which included elegant Chinese brush painting, doodles, exotic fish , fish made with alcohol inks........as well as fish-named aircraft and Michael Fish!!! Well done everyone for thinking outside the box!
Todays challenge was self portraits which proved to be challenging indeed! Many members agreed it was difficult to draw from a mirror... and also how hard it is to get a likeness. We were however all able to identify every member from their self portrait- so well done .

Todays zoom meeting had a good number of entries and was attended well. The entries covered a wide range of styles and interpretations! We had beautiful animal images - both whole creatures and some interesting close-ups.
