August 11th - Ingestre.

Another hot day for our plein air meet, this time at beautiful Ingestre. The area offers a variety of subjects to paint or sketch. The historic stables, the grand church build by Wren, the lush gardens, imposing buildings at Ingestre Hall as well as the splendid Orangery. Thanks to Ian who invited us in to the Orangery and gave us a tour and Information of its recent transformation. It's worth noting that the Orangery is open to the public on Wednesdays and Fridays and the new bar is open for a range of drinks, with seating both inside and out. 

Our avid artists found cooler shady places to sit and draw- a selection of images of artists at work, and work in progress is in the blog gallery.
