Artist in Residence. November.

Shane Wiseman, our resident artist, attended our usual Tuesday meeting. He demonstrated a quick picture in acrylics, showing how to get a simple winter scene using  a  limited palette. Shane spent just 20 minutes working at the easel , with a photograph as a point of reference. He likes to use not only a colour image, but also a black and white of the same image, to help with getting the tones correct. You can see  in the accompanying photos how the picture progressed. Shane chatted to members as they worked on their own paintings and drawings, offering advice and answering questions .
