Today's meet for outdoor sketching at St Mary's was a bit chillier than the one at the Moat House, but still a picturesque venue. The original church was built in the 12th century, though only a small section still exists - the lower part of the tower and the west wall. The nave, chancel and south aisle were built in the 14th century, and the upper part of the tower in the 16th Century.
Sketchers arranged themselves around the grounds to find their own particular view of St Mary's, or the view from St Mary's to the Catholic church just across the road. In the gallery you can see work in progress from the sketchers.
