I have always had an interest in art but only took up watercolour painting on retirement. I am basically self- taught but as a member of Stafford Art Group I have received a great deal of help from other artists, both from within and outside the group.

Most of my paintings are inspired by places that I have visited and are very personal to me. Anything can fill me with a desire to paint it, from vistas on Cannock Chase to textures in a piece of wood. I .particularly like painting water and mountains.
